I was recently contacted by Q-Depot, a Korean Cosmetics Online Shop that carries more than 20 well-known brands including The Face Shop, Etude House, and Holika Holika. Ever since Korean cosmetics was introduced to the market, I’ve actually been a fan of some of their makeup products—most especially Etude House’s Color My Brows.
What I’ve never tried yet is Korean skincare (I have a tendency to stick to what I already know or what works for me), and when Q-Depot sent over Tony Moly’s Red Appletox Honey Cream, I was immediately intrigued.First off, the packaging is super cute! It comes in a shiny, red apple-shaped container that includes a small spatula, which I commend the brand for because it promotes good hygiene. I’m not a fan of dipping my fingers into products (both skincare and makeup) because I think it’s unhygienic and might contaminate the product eventually.
I did my research and discovered that Tony Moly’s Red Appletox Honey Cream is actually a facial moisturizer. It has a thick, gel-like substance that’s absorbed easily by the skin and doesn’t feel sticky nor heavy (surprisingly!). I was expecting it to smell like apples, but the scent is actually more of honey. The fragrance can be a little strong, but it’s something I don’t mind.
It contains manuka honey extract, royal jelly, and black honey that nourishes the skin, provides hydration, and makes it smoother. If you’re acne-prone like me, it works great as well.
I’ve only started using it for a couple of days, and my skin does feel smoother after applying. I use it in the evening before going to bed, but for those with extra dry skin, you can also use it in the morning before applying your sunblock and makeup. It’s quite affordable, too. You can get one for only Php 778 from Q-Depot.
If you’re a huge fan of Korean skin care and cosmetics, check out Q-Depot!
