Upholding Traditional Recipes with Carnation Evap

DISCLAIMER: This post is sponsored.

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved watching my mom cook. Our family has always been foodies (this is evident in my mom’s backyard business, Mama Jessie’s Kesong Puti, and my Tita and Ninong’s business, Something Different Bakeshop), so it’s no surprise that each one of us has our own styles and techniques in making a variety of dishes.

My sister and cousins are amazing bakers—they love making macarons and cupcakes in their free time.

I, on the other hand, learned a few recipes from my mom which have become my staple dishes every time there’s a potluck with friends or when the whole family is celebrating something at home (like Booboo’s 5th birthday last November). I would whip out my key ingredients to recreate my mom’s signature carbonara recipe.

The recipe includes Carnation Evap, which makes the sauce of my carbonara creamy, filling and very delightful.

Carnation Evap is a staple in our kitchen’s cupboard because apart from carbonara, we love using it for fruit salads, milk shakes, mais con yelo, and halu-halo. It’s something that definitely upholds our family tradition of coming together, eating good food, and creating lasting memories.
