Our Home for the Holidays

Nothing lifts my spirits more than seeing Christmas decorations all around and hearing Christmas jingles being played—whether it’s in the mall or on the radio. My favorite part, especially when I come home from work, is seeing our Christmas tree lit up with the most adorable ornaments! In fact, there are many times where I love to daydream about my future home and how it would look like someday.

I always like to imagine the interior design of each room, and how I’d dress up each room during the Christmas season!

Daydreaming about my future home is precisely why I love dropping by Our Home, because they never fail to feature an array of furniture, furnishings, and accessories that really spice up and make one’s home unique! Their theme this season is Homes for the Holidays, which takes a cue from the Filipinos’ penchant for celebrating Christmas.

Our Home, which happens to be the leader in home furniture and furnishings, welcomes the season with different themes and schemes for Christmas—focusing on three different interior design styles and palettes that cater to even the most discerning taste. These distinct interior design trends, styled with a festive holiday spirit to elicit and create the Christmas vibe, center on Contemporary, Industrial, and Neo-Baroque.

While the Contemporary highlights the new and the now, with key pieces considered current and up-to-date, and a style that capitalizes on streamlined silhouettes and compact proportions that reveal a classy yet modern feel, the Industrial is all about heavy and rustic, with a strong masculine vibe focused on deep, warm leather, iron accents, and dark wood finishes. Last but not the least, the Neo-Baroque is more on the posh and plush, with a style that banks on glamour and glitz from the 17th century. It’s a style that’s both modern yet elegant, and it’s actually my favorite of the three!

Last Saturday, I had the chance to check Our Home in SM North EDSA, and I was so surprised with how big the place is. I almost didn’t want to leave, as I took photos of my favorite styled areas, as well as the different furnishings and accessories they have to offer.
