Browlab: Eyebrows, Lashes, and Waxing All In One Place

What sucks about my eyebrows is that they grow really fast—I can have them threaded today and for sure next week, I’ll start seeing hair sticking out from random areas. The good thing about them, however, is that they already have a nice shape—which makes it easier to clean and maintain. All I have to do is have them threaded every 2-3 weeks and if I see random hair sticking out in between, I just pluck them out.

Being particular about my brows, I was so happy to have discovered Browlab while checking my Facebook newsfeed, because they offer not just eyebrow services but also eyelash and waxing services! Aside from eyebrows, I’m also quite meticulous about my lashes—in fact, “brows, lashes and lips” are the three things I always focus on to enhance my features.

I got the chance to visit Browlab last week, and they treated me to a Browlab Quick Clean (Php 189)—a quick and easy technique to clean an existing eyebrow shape using a combination of threading and tweezing, and a Classic Lashes Extension (Php 800). Their salon is located on the 5th floor of Market! Market! which is pretty convenient to get to. It’s just a little hidden so if you’re coming from the escalators, go straight and turn left.

Considering I had two services done, it only took an hour to finish. I’ve had my lashes permed a few times before, but I’ve never actually tried getting extensions. When I saw the results, I was completely in awe. I loved how my lashes looked so long and full, which meant I didn’t have to wear eyeliner or mascara for the next 2-3 weeks (the average time eyelash extensions will last). I had fun chatting with their friendly staff as well.

If I were to rate the process of getting eyelash extensions on the pain scale from 1-10, it would probably be just a 4. Similar to having your lashes permed, you lay down on a bed with eyes closed, and they’ll work on each lash one by one. The painful part is them removing the tape they apply to cover your eyes—but this will only last for a millisecond.

I really love how the extensions and perfectly cleaned eyebrows brightened up my face! I’m definitely coming back to Browlab to have them do the same services again.
