Last Weekend of Being Single: 3rd Bridal Shower and My Despedida de Soltera

Hello, hello! I’m sooo happy to finally be on my wedding leave. Last week seemed to have stretched longer than it should have, and Friday was probably the worst of them—we had a cover girl shoot that was scheduled at 2pm, and ended at almost one in the morning.

Thankfully, that was my last push for work, and now I can focus completely on the remaining errands for our wedding.
It’s still so hard to believe that we’re down to four days, and if you’ve been following my wedding updates here on the blog or on Instagram, this is it! We’re almost at the finish line! Thanks for reading through all my raves and rants, and despite the stress of preparations and planning, I think I’m going to miss this fun chapter of my life.

Speaking of—this past weekend was my last weekend of being single! And how did I spend it? Well, the whole of Saturday morning was dedicated to reading a Draco/Hermione fanfic (Hahaha!), before the Cupcake and I headed to our church to double check our marriage contract. We also quickly went to the mall to buy goods for our mass offertory.

At around 6pm, my best friend from Poveda (who I fondly call KChan here on the blog), picked me up and surprised me with a third bridal shower—this time with my OG girls from school! We had a nice and intimate dinner, before grabbing a few drinks, and talking about marriage, babies, household chores, and what it’s like to still be up at 11pm. Hahaha! It was such a pleasant way to unwind and forget about the difficult work week.

The following day, Sunday, my family threw me a despedida de soltera at Relish Luxe Cafe in Ortigas—which was the perfect opportunity to introduce (or re-introduce) our family and friends, and get our entourage well-acquainted.

It was also good practice (for me especially) to not get overwhelmed, and to really just enjoy the love and support of everyone.

Below are some of my favorite photos from the evening!

So that’s another brief update for now. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! And if you miss reading more beauty-related articles, fret not! I’ll definitely resume writing more beauty-related stuff once the wedding high is over. Haha! Wishing you all a lovely week ahead!
