Hi, everyone! My name is Gretchen Gatan. If you’re new here, I’m a writer, managing editor, and first-time mom to a beautiful baby girl named Cambria. I first heard of the term push gift from an older friend several years ago. She received a new laptop from her husband when she gave birth to their first-born.
I never really thought about it again until I got pregnant last year. And I told myself that regardless if my husband Cayo was going to get me a push gift or not, I wanted to get myself one. While he bought me a new MacBook when my maternity leave was ending (to motivate me because I was feeling anxious and to help me stay productive since I work from home), I ordered bespoke earrings from Little White Pouch.Sky Earrings from Little White Pouch
Aptly called Sky Earrings, these are made with Cambria’s birthstone—Blue Topaz. To be more specific, they’re cushion-shaped and made with Sky Blue Brazilian Topaz gemstones set in 14-karat white gold push-back studs. When she’s of age, I plan to give these earrings to her as a birthday or heirloom gift!
I’ve always been a fan and lurker of @littlewhitepouch on Instagram ever since I discovered them through Tricia Gosingtian in 2017. I even have an entire folder of saved photos featuring their jewelry. So to finally own something from them, which I can pass on to my daughter in the future, is something I can tick off my bucket list.
