In partnership with The Beauty Edit, who co-hosted the event, Karat World unveiled its newest branch at One Ayala, Makati. You can discover the latest additions to their jewelry collections — from rings and earrings to necklaces and bracelets. Additionally, apart from an array of jewelry pieces for every Filipino, they have services like jewelry cleaning and ear piercing.
Throughout the afternoon, waiters served us hors d’oeuvres together with coffee or wine. I was able to catch up with friends and familiar faces as well. During the short program, we met Mr. Felix Gorriceta III, President of Karat World and a third-generation jeweler. His goal is simple. “For every Filipino to have access to fine quality jewelry that positively impacts their lives and is handed down from generation to generation.”
Winning the Karat World Raffle
In one of my favorite movies, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (“Ladies, frost yourselves!”), there’s a scene where guests got to try on beautiful pieces of jewelry at a lavish event. That’s exactly how it felt at the flagship store opening of Karat World. Guests tried on all the jewelry displayed. Moreover, there was a special sale just for that day — 60% off on all items! And for those who wanted their portraits taken, a talented photographer was available to direct and shoot beautiful photos of guests wearing Karat World pieces.
In an exciting turn of events, aside from giving away either earrings or a pendant to each guest (I went for a classic pair of gold hoop earrings), Karat World raffled off three pieces of jewelry — and I won a dainty rose gold bangle with three baby diamonds! I’ll be wearing it for now but I know that someday, I’ll be passing it on to my toddler daughter Cambria.
