Burt’s Bees Philippines Celebrates Their 30th Birthday

It’s always a pleasure to be with the Burt’s Bees Philippines family, especially on celebrating big milestones—such as turning 30 years old. Last August 13, I was invited to their second blogger event—and with the brand already being my favorite (I’m currently using their Sensitive Eye Cream and Radiance Night Cream on my face, their Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream for my nails, and their Facial Cleansing Towelettes to remove my makeup ), I was more than ecstatic to go!

The lunch was held in Seda Hotel, Bonifacio Global City. Knowing how fun their events are, and how much Burt’s Bees loves to spoil us, I was really looking forward to the event activities.

What greeted me as soon as I arrived was a buffet table lined with mason jars, slices of lemon, orange and cucumber, honey, and water. It was such an adorable sight. (And thanks to Burt’s Bees, I now have a real glass mason jar which I’ve been using for my coffee and tea in the office!)

True enough, we were spoiled silly—with our favorite Burt’s Bees product already waiting for us in our seats.

The program opened with Liz Lanuzo introducing Burt’s Bees Brand Manager, May Samson—who briefly talked about the history of the brand and how it came to be. Many people would find it surprising that aside from classic products such as the Beeswax Lip Balm and Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, they also have very effective skincare lines like the Daisy White, Radiance, Anti-Blemish, Intense Hydration, Sensitive, and Naturally Ageless.

What makes these products really work is that they’re made from all-natural ingredients that act as food for the skin.

The best thing about Burt’s Bees is their philosophy, centered on the Greater Good—good for you (the people), good for us (the profit), good for all (the planet). It’s a very unique structure that helps them, helps their people, helps their consumers, and best of all, helps Mother Nature.

After May’s interesting presentation, we were told to open a little surprise on our tables. We were each given watercolor sets and some paper, because Liz Lanuzo herself held a quick watercolor painting workshop that taught us the different brush strokes, and how to create a color wheel using just the primary colors.

It was a really pleasant afternoon being immersed with the people behind some of the best skincare products I know. As a token of appreciation, I also got to bring home other products I can’t wait to try—one of which is their Garden Tomato Toner. As soon as I start incorporating this in my skin regimen, I will definitely write a review about it!

Don’t forget to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and greet Burt’s Bees Philippines a Happy 30th Birthday!
