Hi, everyone! Sorry for being MIA again. The past few months have been incredibly hectic, and it’s getting harder and harder to find time to write. I always tell myself that I need to write at least twice a week, but even that’s hard to pull off these days!
So anyway, like I said, it’s been a very busy summer for me—especially because I’m finally adjusting to my new role as Glamourbox’s marketing manager.
It’s a lot more stressful than my previous job in digital marketing, but I’m really glad I took it because this is exactly where I wanted to be. I love my boss, I love my job, and I’m working with a really great team of talented, dedicated, and hardworking individuals.Last weekend was a memorable one for us, because we journeyed to Mindoro for some much-needed rest and quality time. From our office in Makati, we rode a private van to the Batangas Port, then rode a boat to Calapan Port in Oriental Mindoro, where we got fetched by our boss’ contact and were brought to a private house where we stayed for two nights. It was two days of pigging out, drinking wine and mojitos, singing songs in the videoke machine, and enjoying the beach of course! We even spent a day in White Beach, Puerto Galera where I got to experience riding a UFO for the first time. For those who aren’t familiar with it, a UFO is pretty much like a Fly Fish but it bounces you more. I was literally flying around like a rag doll, and fell (or more like bounced) into the water twice!
It was really fun, but like in every vacation I take, I got a little homesick towards the end. I’m really glad I got to know my colleagues better, because I’m sure we’ll be working much more efficiently together! What about you guys? How did you spend your Labor Day Weekend?
