12 Intimate Wedding Venues in Quezon City

Photo by Head Hunters Photography (Grabbed from Las Casas QC’s Facebook page)

Hi, everyone! If you’re new here, my name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada. I’m a writer and editor-in-chief based in Metro Manila. Welcome to Greta’s Junkyard — a dumpsite of my favorite things. Here, I like to write about beauty, travel, home, and lifestyle.

Once in a while (and because I’m a sucker for weddings), I also like to write wedding-related stuff such as intimate wedding venues!

My Brother’s Intimate Wedding

When my brother got married in 2021, he had an intimate wedding with just family in my grandmother’s house. They didn’t need to book a lot of suppliers. They only booked 128 Catering to transform the garage into a rustic setup and cater the food. And though I loved every detail about my wedding last 2019 and would want to relive that day over and over, sometimes I think to myself — I wonder what it’s like to have an intimate wedding? So just for fun, I’ve put together a list of intimate wedding venues! These are restaurants I’ve tried that you might want to consider if you’re planning a small celebration.

Intimate Wedding Venues in Quezon City

1. Relish Hello Happiness

I was so sad when I found out that Relish closed their branch in Ortigas, which was where I had my Despedida de Soltera. However, their branch in Quezon City (along Scout Limbaga Street) is still open! And I’ve seen intimate events being held in their private rooms. Their Scout Limbaga branch was also where my sister had her graduation dinner in 2019. My parents had one of the private rooms closed for our family and my sister’s friends. I’m a huge fan of their food — especially their Roasted Chicken and Slow Roasted Beef Belly.

2. Mateo’s Restaurant Cafe

Before the pandemic, my husband and I would have date nights in Mateo’s — especially when I would crave Spanish cuisine. Their quaint restaurant filled with greenery makes the perfect intimate wedding venue. You can book the entire place for just family and friends. Mateo’s Restaurant Cafe is located along N. Domingo Avenue in Horseshoe Village, Quezon City.

3. Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant

Main Dining Area of Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant

Lemuria is another restaurant in Horseshoe Village that boasts fine wines and French-Mediterranean cuisine. I enjoyed dinner dates with my husband here when we were still boyfriend-and-girlfriend. My parents also celebrated their wedding anniversary here last December 2019. Despite the pandemic, Lemuria has been thriving thanks to the small celebrations held in different areas of their restaurant.

4. Kandle Cafe

One of our staple lunch places as a family is Kandle Cafe. Located along Mother Ignacia, their space is huge and has different areas that can accommodate up to 50 people. Aside from the indoor dining area, they have a huge alfresco area as well.

5. Las Casas Quezon City

I discovered Las Casas Quezon City along Roosevelt Avenue when I produced a cover girl shoot for Gabbi Garcia. Las Casas rose to fame for its patriotic advocacy of restoring and preserving 18th-century Spanish-Filipino houses. Every corner of their branch in Quezon City is breathtaking and will truly take you back to Spanish times. Moreover, their food celebrates the best of Filipino cuisine. So if this is right up your alley, I do recommend checking them out.

Recently, my little family and I attended a wedding in Las Casas Quezon City. It truly makes for a beautiful garden venue.

6. LoLa Cafe

Up next is LoLa Cafe along Scout Lozano Street. This was yet another date night place for me and Cayo before the pandemic. I even wrote about them back in 2014. LoLa all started with a humble house in Quezon City — one that held the warmth and love of a grandmother within its walls. Turning the house into a restaurant, they continue to carry and share these values with guests through hearty meals.

7. The Frazzled Cook

Once again, before the pandemic happened, I loved dining at The Frazzled Cook. Their Truffle Pasta has always been one of my favorites. And if there’s one thing I miss about the outside world, it’s being able to dine out and explore different dishes from quirky restaurants like them. The Frazzled Cook was one of many that pivoted their business when the lockdowns took place. Aside from offering deliveries for at-home celebrations, you can book their restaurant for small gatherings.

8. Romulo Cafe

Similar to some restaurants I’ve listed, Romulo Cafe along Scout Tuazon is a place my family often dined in, too. My cousin even booked one of their function rooms last 2019 so she could throw her mom, my godmother, a surprise birthday party. You can’t go wrong with their old-fashioned Filipino dishes, which are heirloom recipes of the Romulo family.

9. Limbaga 77

I’ve eaten here a couple of times pre-pandemic—once with my in-laws and another time with my husband. Located along Scout Limbaga (right across Relish!), they serve really delicious Filipino food. Their restaurant is also quite spacious, which makes it ideal for a small celebration. Their most recent one was an 18th birthday party, where the celebrant closed down the entire second floor.

10. Bizu in Gallery MiraNila

The East Patio area

My mother-in-law, husband, and I discovered Bizu in Gallery MiraNila along Mariposa Street when I attended an event that Garnier hosted. After the event, we had merienda at the Bizu branch located inside the heritage site (on the ground floor of Henry Hotel). You can book the restaurant, which can accommodate about 10 guests, or the East Patio area, which can hold up to 20 pax. For bigger parties or celebrations, you can book Gallery MiraNila by The Blue Leaf. They’re a separate event space but Bizu is their exclusive caterer.

11. Buttery and Co.

The beautiful interiors and delicious food of Buttery and Co. make an ideal intimate wedding venue for any couple about to tie the knot. They have several function rooms on both floors but if you’re having more than 50 guests, you can close off their entire second floor, which can fit about 80 people.

12. Mario’s Restaurant

Perhaps I’m saving the best for last. Mario’s Restaurant along Tomas Morato is a very special place for us—especially my parents-in-law. Before COVID-19 happened, this was where they celebrated every single moment and milestone. From birthdays and anniversaries to Sunday lunches, there’s no place like Mario’s! Mario’s was also where my grandmother celebrated her 75th birthday. We closed down a part of the restaurant on the first floor to have an intimate celebration with the whole family. Meanwhile, they have private function rooms available on the second floor. If you decide to dine here, I highly recommend their Caesar Salad, Oyster Rockefeller, and Fillet Mignon.

Intimate Wedding Venues to Make Your Celebration More Special

With this list I’ve put together of different intimate wedding venues in Quezon City, I hope you’ll be able to plan your dream wedding. Good luck and don’t forget to enjoy the process!
