Toddler Play School in Quezon City: Where We Enrolled Cambria!

Hello, hello! Welcome to Greta’s Junkyard, a blog I started in 2013 that serves as a dump of my favorite things. Occasionally, it’s also where I like to document the many milestones and happenings in my life. My name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada. I’m a writer and editor based in Quezon City. Additionally, I’m the founder and editor-in-chief of The Metro Edit, your curated source of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle in the Metro. On top of this, I’m a wife to Cayo, a fur mom to Booboo and Bellatrix, and a first-time mom to a daughter named Cambria. If you’re searching for a toddler play school in Quezon City, you might want to read more about our experience with U-Learn Tutorial Center in Ayala Malls Vertis North.

Why We Wanted to Enroll Cambria in Toddler Play School

As a parent, I strongly believe in the importance of enrolling Cambria in a toddler play school. Early childhood is a crucial time for development, and play schools offer a structured environment where she can explore and learn through play. Of course, this isn’t just about having fun. It’s also about nurturing essential skills like social interaction, emotional regulation, and cognitive development.

By interacting with peers and engaging in various activities, Cambria can become more confident, cooperative, and curious about the world around her. Investing in this foundational stage sets the stage for her future learning as well. Plus, I hope it helps her grow into a well-rounded person.

How I Discovered U-Learn Tutorial Center

I first heard about U-Learn Tutorial Center through my sister-in-law, Karina. She casually mentioned it to me since it’s located in Ayala Malls Vertis North, which is very close to our house, also known as the #FraggyHome. And because my family and I often have lunches here every Sunday, I was able to check out their area on the fourth floor.

Incidentally, a few weeks later, I saw a Facebook post of their toddler play school program so I immediately inquired about it. One cycle consists of eight sessions for P7,500 (as of writing). We chose the Tuesday and Thursday morning schedule, since Cambria likes to take her nap after lunch.

Rediscovering Myself in the Process

At that time when I enrolled Cambria, I had just resigned from a full-time job to focus on my businesses and have more flexibility. So I was also very excited about driving her to school and picking her up after. It was a lot of firsts for me as well — my first time driving in years, my first time driving with just Cambria, and having more time to myself. Every time I dropped off Cambria at U-Learn, I was able to have coffee or shop for a bit. This quiet time was something I always enjoyed.

U-Learn Tutorial Center’s Toddler Play School Program

U-Learn Tutorial Center’s toddler play school program is all about harnessing the power of play to boost social skills. They focus on activities that engage all the senses, making learning through play a complete blast. They open enrollments monthly, too. However, to maintain the quality of their program, slots are limited. So, if you’re interested in giving your child a fun and enriching experience, now’s the time to sign up!

Cambria truly enjoyed the eight sessions with Teacher Rachel and Teacher Anne. She always looked forward to the activities of the day, and even made friends with her classmates. The best part for me was watching her come out of her shell. Even though she was the youngest in class, she eventually started singing along with her teachers and peers. It was truly a wonderful experience for both of us.
