Hello, hello! Welcome to Greta’s Junkyard, a blog I started in 2013 where I could dump my favorite things. These include topics related to beauty, fashion, lifestyle, travel, and motherhood. If you’re new here, my name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada. I’m a writer and editor based in Metro Manila, Philippines.
I’m also the editor-in-chief of The Metro Edit, your curated source of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle in the Metro. On top of that, I’m a wife to Cayo, a fur mom to Booboo and Bellatrix, and a first-time mom to a toddler daughter named Cambria, who recently celebrated her second birthday. And because of her current obsession with Jollibee, we decided to indulge her and threw a Jollibee party at their E. Rodriguez branch!Bida Ang Saya with Any Jollibee Party
Ever since Cambria was a baby, she was already obsessed with Jollibee. Even if she’s never tried the food or been inside a branch, she loved saying hi to the Jollibee statue or logo every time we passed him on the road or in malls. So a Jollibee party was the perfect way to finally introduce her to the mascot!
What Cayo and I loved most about throwing a Jollibee party was that we didn’t have to plan or worry about anything. They took care of it all — venue, food, and program. We just had to show up on the day of the party (unlike Cambria’s tropical-themed first birthday in our village clubhouse where we had to plan and coordinate everything, which was a bit stressful).
Since Cambria’s birthday falls in December, which gets pretty busy because of the holidays, we booked Jollibee E.
Rodriguez in July to secure the date and time we wanted. The process is pretty straightforward. You just go to your preferred branch, choose from the themes and party packages, and pay a reservation fee or down payment. There are also add-on options like a cake from Red Ribbon or requesting more mascots to appear alongside Jollibee, which we didn’t avail anymore. To give a ballpark figure of our expenses, we paid around P35,000 for 100 guests. Our Jollibee Party Suppliers
We wanted to keep Cambria’s party simple since our main objective was for her to meet Jollibee and spend time with our loved ones. We hired a family friend, Rookie Sta. Ana, to do the photography.
Meanwhile, my cousin Nikki (and also Cambria’s Ninang) baked the cake. I just ordered a custom topper for it.
Then, for the giveaways, we were lucky that Oli’s Boxship Activity Kits wanted to sponsor. We gave away DIY stitch-a-puppy kits that parents and kids enjoyed doing together!
The Most Priceless Reaction
Cambria’s reaction to seeing the Jollibee mascot for the first time was priceless! She brought to life the emoji with heart eyes.
And because Jollibee is an expert in making both adults and children happy, everyone enjoyed playing games and eating.
It was a fun, stress-free party and I’m really glad with how everything turned out.
