Where to Buy Affordable Wedding Dresses and Robes in Manila: Love, C Manila

I’m 29 years old, and I’ve reached the stage in my life where all my friends are getting married left and right. During the first half of 2018, I think the Cupcake and I attended a total of four weddings, and between October to December this year, I’ll be attending another three (not to mention, I’ve already calendared another four weddings for 2019!

).

One of the things I find very exciting, apart from watching the bride walk down the aisle and sneaking a peek at the groom to see if he’s crying, is the getting ready part! I guess I’ll always be one of those girls who immensely enjoy the whole process—from styling my hair, to doing my makeup, to slipping on my dress of choice (I remember the last time this happened was during prom, graduation ball, and debut season—my Povedan friends and I were getting invited to attend either proms or balls, and celebrating our 18th birthdays through formal parties).
Speaking of dresses and what to wear—considering the number of weddings I’ve attended (and am about to attend), it’s pretty awesome and convenient to have the option of buying from an affordable yet stylish brand like Love, C Manila.

Love, C Manila is owned by one of my Ultimate Frisbee teammates, Cait, and it’s so amazing and inspiring to have witnessed the growth of her brand—from starting on Instagram four or five years ago, to now having her very own shop in Sonata Private Residences along Lourdes Drive in Mandaluyong. I remember back in 2015, I was invited to attend a beach wedding in Shangri-La Boracay, and a week or two before my flight, I ordered a Faye Dress from Cait, and had it altered to make the side and back areas of the dress a little higher (to appease my conservative soul. Hahaha!).

The dress remains to be a classic, because just last year, I wore it again to a formal event held in Crimson Hotel.

Nowadays, it’s such a small world that colleagues and acquaintances either buy their formal dresses from Love, C (usually to wear as a wedding guest) or hire Love, C as a supplier to create dresses for their whole entourage. In fact, one of the weddings I’ll be attending this year (where I’ll be a bridesmaid) booked Cait to make our dresses, and I only found out when the bride told me when and where the fitting would be!

As a bride or wedding guest, you can choose from RTW or custom pieces, all of which have a wide array of colors and fabrics.

Recently, Cait invited me to do a quick and casual photo shoot while modelling her newest designs and collections. I brought along my sister and two cousins, and we all couldn’t stop gushing about the dresses we were wearing, most especially the Silk Collection, Paulina, and Jamie. Check out some of the photos:

Apart from dresses, Love, C now offers accessories and silk robes! I was so in love with how the silk robes felt on my skin, that I never wanted to remove it.

I honestly think Love, C Manila has become a bride’s one-stop shop for entourage gowns and accessories. They’re affordable, they’re very easy to work with, and the pretty designs help make your Pinterest wedding dreams come true!
