When it comes to vanity and getting pampered, it’s easy for me to recommend a place because of how frequently I treat myself and how happy I am with the results and service after—which is why I become such a loyal customer of a skin care center, spa, or salon. I usually judge these places based on the quality of their service, facilities, cleanliness, price, and location.
I live up north, somewhere in Quezon City, and I was so happy to have been invited to cover a nail spa nearby. It was my first time to hear about them, but after doing my research and Googling the directions, seeing photos of the place got me looking forward to my treatment. The spa is located on the second floor of South Insula Building along Timog Avenue. Don’t be confused if you don’t see a sign of the spa anywhere—just park in front of the building and let the guard know you’re going up to Nail Axis.
It was definitely one of the most unique nail spas I’ve ever tried—the interior decoration oddly reminded me of a first-class hotel. There were bottles of wine displayed in every table (you can order wine, too!) and the chandelier in the middle of the room created such a posh ambiance. They had chairs enough to fit about 10 guests, three of which were jetspas—something I’ve never seen in any other nail spa.
Before my treatment, I was made to wear a nice, white robe before being led to one of the jetspa chairs. I had the choice of complimentary tea or coffee, so I chose tea to complement my treatment. They served chocolate fondue with marshmallows, too! Talk about first-class pampering!
I was told that the spa gets booked a lot for spa parties, and I’m not surprised since they also serve desserts and wine. The service was excellent as expected—they even won the 2015 Metro Manila Golden Globe Annual Awards for Business Excellence: Best Nail Salon Service Provider.
If you’re looking to treat yourself or your friends, Nail Axis is one nail spa in Quezon City that I would highly recommend. That jetspa chair really impressed me.
