A Review on WII aFGF Hydrating Lotion

I was recently sent by EZ Shop Asia a bottle of W-II aFGF Hyrdating Lotion, which supposedly acts as the skin’s protector from free radicals. It also moisturizes and helps reduce wrinkles caused by excessive dryness of the skin.

A product manufactured in Taiwan, it contains glycerin (a humectant that retains moisture), jojoba oil (which plumps skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines), prunus armeniaca (an ingredient that devitalizes wrinkles), propylene glycol (which moisturizes and conditions), cetyl alcohol (which works as an emolient and emulsifier), avocado oil (a natural ingredient that treats skin diseases), and grape seed oil (an extract that treats and tightens skin).

It’s a multi-purpose hydrating cream that fades dark spots, brightens the complexion, and prevents pigmentation due to the SPF 15 it contains. It also reminds me of a BB cream, because of the coverage it provides. The subtle fragrance reminds you of a regular lotion, but the feel is more lightweight and non-greasy.

In terms of what skin type I would recommend this for, I think it’s best for women with really dry skin or women in their mid-30’s and up. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with oily skin (like me), because it contains oils which my dermatologist advises I stay away from. I really like the coverage it gives, but my only comment is in the packaging because it was so hard to get the product out due to the pump.

I had to open the entire bottle and put some on my hand, because the pump was defective and I couldn’t squirt out any of the cream at all. This isn’t my first time to encounter a product with such packaging though, so what I do is just buy a clear bottle from Beabi and transfer the contents there (although this takes up time, effort, and money).

W-II”s aFGF Hydrating Lotion is available EZ Shop Asia for Php 1,200.
