WeWork: The Prettiest Coworking Space in Manila

Woaaaah—I didn’t realize until I started writing this blog post that we’re nearly halfway through June! Where did all that time go?! Thankfully, I found a bit of downtime tonight to write another update.

If you follow me on Instagram and have been watching my stories since the beginning of the month, you’ll notice that I’ve been hanging out a lot at WeWork in RCBC Plaza, Makati.

I also wrote a long post about them on my feed (my longest post on Instagram to date, that made me realize Instagram’s captions have a character count! Did you guys know that?!). Anyway, it was a post about WeWork and how I’ve been taking full advantage of my hot desk membership by walking here every night after my work at Calyxta—to either write drafts for the blog, update our wedding master file, or play Sims. Haha! It’s also incredibly convenient that the Cupcake works just a few floors up—so while waiting for him, I get to be productive! And since a lot of people were messaging me about WeWork and asking me more about it, I decided to answer a few frequently asked questions.

1. What is WeWork?

It’s a global co-working space that houses some of the most successful startup companies in the Metro (and around the world). Being a WeWork member allows you to have access to ALL the WeWork spaces (there’s more than 400 of them) around the globe! They have an app where you can easily book a space, and even post announcements or inquiries where other WeWork members (both local and international) can assist you or help you out.

2. What makes it different from other co-working spaces?

I’ve been to a few co-working spaces already, and I honestly believe WeWork has the best environment and facilities. People are genuinely so accommodating, and WeWork cultivates a thriving community by providing a fun and conducive environment and work space to help startups and individuals grow further. They constantly throw events and seminars that foster this, plus they have amazing facilities and amenities—making it easy for companies’ managements to no longer worry about their operational expenses.

3. What are the facilities/amenities and perks?

Aside from beautiful and well-lit working spaces, meeting rooms of different sizes, high-speed internet, and printing stations, they have game rooms where individuals can unwind after a long day. They even offer unlimited free coffee during the day, and beer at night. Just the other evening, people were drinking and socializing (while I was in one of the booths playing Sims). Haha! WeWork also partners with restaurants, shops, and fitness centers—where members get exclusive discounts.

You know how much people love working or hanging out here when you see them still working past office hours, but they don’t mind!

I’ve been enjoying the space so much as well, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to write more (and do more passion projects) while I’m here. Their space in RCBC (which has two floors) is actually their second branch. Their first is in Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City. Globally, they’re in 18 countries with more than 400 locations—so if you want to know more about them, or if you’d like to sign up and be a member, click my referral link here.
