5 WWE Female Superstars and Why I Love Their Makeup

Featured Image Credit: WWE.com

I don’t know why I never wrote this article sooner, but considering my passion for both wrestling and makeup, I think it’s about time I write about the five WWE female superstars I love, whose makeup looks are consistently on point.

I remember it all started when I was watching the rivalry between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair in 2016, and despite all the blows they gave each other, I kept wondering why their makeup hardly smudged.

At the end of their matches, you’d still see their mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick (for the most part) intact.

But in this article, it’s not the longevity I’m going to focus on. It’s the technique and style when it comes to doing their own makeup. While the WWE Glam Team exists to help them out most of the time, some of them can actually do their makeup on their own (and sometimes even do live tutorials)—like Sasha Banks and Nia Jax!

Here below are the five WWE Female Superstars whose makeup I love.

5. Sonya Deville

Sonya is someone very new to me, because I never really followed her back when she was in NXT. But now that she’s in the main roster, a part of me is always drawn to her overall look. And I think it’s mostly because of her prominent eyebrows. Sure, her in-ring makeup is usually attributed to the WWE Glam Team, but if you look at her selfies on Instagram, she pulls the bold brows and lashes effortlessly.

4. Peyton Royce

I recently started following Peyton Royce on Instagram, mostly because of her relationship with Tye Dillinger, which I find really adorable, but also because with or without makeup, she’s breathtaking! Most of her in-ring looks are also attributed to the WWE Glam Team, but there’s not one look I don’t like. She can rock anything—whether blue eyeshadow or a bright pink monochromatic look. I’d definitely give this girl a perfect 10. (Hahaha!)

3. Carmella

Not the biggest fan of Carmella and I never really followed her either, but what I have observed from watching Smackdown (especially when she became the Women’s Champion) is her makeup looks are always F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Outside the ring, she looks gorgeous, too.

2. Nia Jax

Nia Jax is second to my favorite, only because I enjoy watching her makeup tutorials on Instagram. The girl knows her makeup, and can serve you some glam really well. Not big on the way she does her eyebrows (I find the arch a little too high, but hey, I’m not going to cast stones because to each her own, and all beauty girls like to do their eyebrows a specific way).

1. Sasha Banks

Of course, number one in this list is Sasha Banks, because I’m biased and she’s my favorite female superstar. Haha! But all that aside, Sasha loves her makeup and also does it incredibly well. She even has her own vanity mirror in her house, where she takes some of her selfies. She recently had her eyebrows microbladed, and to be honest, at the start when it was still too dark, I didn’t like it. But once it adjusted and lightened a bit, it looked more natural on her olive skin. I actually hope she starts a channel on how she does her makeup, because I’d definitely watch it.

So that’s my list! Some names worth mentioning, but just didn’t make the cut anymore, are Paige and Becky Lynch. I’m sure any WWE beauty girl would have her own preferences as well, so if you’re into makeup and wrestling as much as I am, let me know whose makeup you love and why!
