Last week, our youngest cousin, Loki, who’s nine months old, stayed with us for a while because his older sister, Yoki, caught pneumonia. The doctor advised for them not to stay in the same house, at least until Yoki got better, so for eight days, Loki stayed with us! It was so much fun because he kept everyone in the house busy and entertained.
It’s been a while since we last had a baby in the house, so everyone had to adjust—especially my mom who took care of him the most. Milk bottles had to be cleaned and sterilized on a daily basis, disposable diapers were something we had to buy, and we looked through our stuff to find toys we could clean and have Loki play with. Bath time wasn’t a problem, because we always have Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser at home. My mom and sister use it as their facial wash, but for eight days, it also became Loki’s face and body soap.
That same week, I received a package and got to try Cetaphil’s face and body moisturizers. In case you guys didn’t know, Cetaphil has them, too.
In every skin care routine, there are four important steps you need to include—cleanse, tone, moisturize, and protect. Not a lot of people believe that moisturizing is important, especially those with oily skin, but what they don’t know is that moisturizing actually helps lessen the oiliness! Using a lot of products (especially those with strong ingredients) can take a toll on the skin and cause sebum production to worsen. Moisturizing balances the skin out, and keeps skin soft, smooth, and healthy.
Now that the monsoon season is coming, temperatures should start decreasing as well—and this usually leads to rough and dry skin. Always keep it moisturized with Cetaphil’s Moisturizing Lotion, which is a fast-acting, long-lasting, hydrating lotion for sensitive and normal skin. I love that it feels lightweight, so I don’t feel sticky or icky during the day. If you have really dry skin, try Cetaphil’s Daily Advance Lotion, which instantly replenishes and hydrates for up to 24 hours.
Their Daily Facial Moisturizers contain SPF, which not only moisturizes the skin but also protects you from the sun! So you’re already hitting two birds with one stone in your daily skincare regimen. Lastly, I started using their Intensive Moisturizing Cream on my feet every evening to prevent my heels from cracking. This locks in moisture, so my feet don’t look rough or dry during the day.
When it comes to gentle skin care, my family and I really trust Cetaphil. It’s available in all leading drug stores nationwide, so grab one before the rainy season starts and dries up your skin. You can also buy it online here.
