Last February, a couple of months after I gave birth to my baby girl, Noopii sent over their eco-luxe nappies for her to try. But because my baby, Cambria, was still a little small at that time, I waited until she grew big enough to use them. It was only this week that we started using Noopii’s diapers.
And the more I got to know the brand, the more I fell in love.Noopii’s Brand Values
Noopii is a brand from New Zealand that understands the environmental changes and challenges brought about by plastic pollution. Their brand advocacy is “to do better.” Because they know the planet deserves better.
This is why they came up with biodegradable diapers that come in equally biodegradable packaging. Both diapers and packaging can degrade in just a few months. Additionally, their diapers have a cotton blend outer and use food-safe inks to print their designs. Their nappies contain Manuka Hydrosol as well, making them naturally antibacterial, which helps prevent diaper rash.
I spoke to them recently about why they didn’t have a wetness indicator. And they explained that it goes against their brand values. Wetness indicators use chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. In addition to this, they don’t use roll tapes either. Because roll tapes are synthetic and use plastic. This made me realize how truly committed Noopii is to changing the world for the better.
A Quick Review of Noopii Eco-Luxe Nappies
True enough, their diapers feel so soft. Cambria has been using them for a week now and I’m happy to report that she didn’t get any rashes or reactions. The absorption is also great—making them ideal overnight diapers.
Though Noopii is a little on the expensive side compared to regular disposable diapers, I don’t mind making the switch and spending a little more. Because I know that this conscious decision can help the planet and create a better world for Cambria to grow up in.
