Hi, everyone! My name is Gretchen Gatan Fragada. Welcome to Greta’s Junkyard—a dump site of my favorite things. These include mostly beauty, fashion, lifestyle, travel, home, and pet care topics. I started this blog in 2013 as a creative outlet where I could write about anything I wanted. Eventually, I evolved it into an online shop, too.
This was all possible thanks to my wonderful boyfriend-now-husband, Cayo, who is basically a marketing guru with a background in IT and project management. We have three babies: two furry ones, Booboo and Bellatrix, and a one-year-old daughter named Cambria. I’m also currently the Managing Editor of Modern Parenting, a magazine title under One MEGA Group.AGC Power Holdings Corp. (or AGC PHC), the holding company that houses One MEGA Group, recently opened a new office in Estancia. I visited the beautiful space yesterday for a quick tour and an onsite editorial meeting.
One MEGA Group’s New Office features an open space with elements of nature
The new office of One MEGA Group (and all the companies under AGC PHC) features a 900 square-meter open space full of natural light. There’s an abundance of indoor plants as well, which I love so much. There was something about being inside that fueled the creative juices in me, and I hope to be able to take advantage of that so I can write, edit, and produce more helpful and relevant content for Modern Parenting.
I shared snippets of my first day at our new office where my team will be reporting once a week. And because parents don’t really stop being parents—my mom and dad even prepared baon for me! A ham and cheese sandwich and iced coffee.
Dealing with the separation anxiety
If you follow me on Instagram where I like to share raw and vulnerable moments, I was worried about how shifting to a hybrid setup would affect my daily routine with Cambria. She’s an exclusively breastfed baby who never learned to drink from a bottle. Although solid food is her main source of nutrition these days, and she knows how to drink fresh milk from an open or straw cup, the idea of being away from her the whole day gave me anxiety. After all, she thrives on routines and schedules. And I love that because Cayo and I have been working from home since she was born, it’s easy to take care of and be hands-on with her. In fact, we choose not to have a yaya or nanny because we’re able to get by without one anyway. Not to mention—we get to save, too.
Fortunately, we live right beside my in-laws and about ten minutes away from my parents. During my first day reporting to the new office of One MEGA Group, my parents picked up me and Cambria from our house, also known as the #FraggyHome, and dropped me off at work before taking care of her. Based on all the video updates they were sending, she was really happy and didn’t seem to look for me at all. Haha!
Later that afternoon, when Cayo got off work (from home), he picked me up! Just like old times—when he used to pick me up from work pre-pandemic. Even Booboo tagged along, which was so much fun.
Anyway, I hope the setup is sustainable for me and my little family! I guess we’ll have to see how things go in the next few weeks. For now, I hope you enjoyed seeing a glimpse of One MEGA Group’s new office in Estancia. And in case you’re wondering if there are any positions open, here’s a list.
