When Cetaphil wrote to me and sent a few of their products a few days ago, my entire family got so excited! We’ve been using the skincare brand for years, which makes writing this article so much easier because I can honestly vouch for them—especially their Gentle Skin Cleanser. I think it was one of the first facial cleansers I used when I was about 10 or 11, as recommended by our family dermatologist, because it’s mild, it cleanses the skin really well, and it suits any skin type.
Because I’m the eldest among my cousins in my mother’s side, the products I use usually influence what they end up using. So naturally, because I used Cetaphil during my pre-teen years, it also became their facial cleanser. It’s been a staple in our household ever since.
Aside from using it on the face, their Gentle Skin Cleanser works for the body as well! This is perfect for babies, especially because their skin is more sensitive.
I think the best thing about Cetaphil is that I’ve never heard or witnessed any breakouts or negative reactions from anyone. I myself have experienced reacting negatively to several skincare brands, but Cetaphil was never one of them.
Recently, I started getting Revlite treatments (you can read all about it here) and one of the things the dermatologist told me was to use Cetaphil (instead of any other brand) at least three days before and three days after the treatment—because of the gentle, non-irritating, fragrance-free formula. No wonder it’s the most prescribed skincare brand by dermatologists.
This summer, it’s easy to stay fresh with Cetaphil because no matter where you are, there’s a Cetaphil bottle for you. The largest size, which is 250 mL, is perfect for the bathroom. There’s also a 118 mL bottle if you prefer a smaller size. The travel-sized one, which is 60 mL, is the one I always have in my travel kit because it’s so convenient to bring around. Sometimes when I finish it, I just get some from the bigger bottle to refill it.
They also have a Gentle Cleansing Antibacterial Bar that’s specific for people with dry and sensitive skin. Since I have oily skin, this is something my mom can use because she’s the one who tends to have dry skin.
Cetaphil is available in leading drug stores and supermarkets nationwide. To check out more of their products or for more information, visit their website at http://cetaphil.com.ph/
