As a creative who tries to keep an open mind, the healing arts have always intrigued me. I would often just read about it online or hear people’s experiences. But recently, I had an online session with Tin Jacinto. Tin practices soul realignment, Shamanic healing, and spiritual dowsing among many others.
I definitely looked forward to our healing session last April. My only concern was that I’d have to simultaneously tend to my baby girl Cambria since I’m a full-time mom (with a full-time job) and no nanny. Despite tending to a fussy baby, Tin and I were able to make it work. And I’d love to share my experience with you!But first—what is Shamanic healing?
Shamanic healing is a healing art performed by Shamans. According to the article, shamans are individuals who deliberately alter their consciousness in order to obtain information from the spirit world. They use this knowledge and power to help and heal members of their community, as well as the community as a whole.
The night before my session, Tin asked me what my intentions were. These included being a better parent while balancing my career, being healthier physically, mentally, and emotionally, and having a long and happy marriage.
My Struggling Inner Child
One of the first things Tin sensed was some dark energy somewhere near my belly. At first, I thought it was the effect of an early miscarriage (my pregnancy before Cambria). But Tin explained that it was from my experiences when I was just 4 or 5 years old—because of conflicts between my parents. And I do remember that around that age, I witnessed my mom and dad argue a lot. I guess because they married early, which was common in their generation. I don’t remember much about the reasons. But I do remember getting caught in between and crying to my aunts a lot. Don’t get me wrong—I love my parents and we’ve always had a close relationship. They’re not perfect. But I saw my parents work on their marriage over the years. And it inspires me to do the same with mine.
However, remembering those sad core childhood memories brought me to tears. I also learned that all the negative energy from those moments was still trapped inside me. And through Tin’s words and soothing voice, I was able to get the trapped little girl out and lead her to a field full of flowers.
Healing Arts
After that session with Tin, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. And I felt a renewed sense of self. Not only did I feel better, I learned a lot about myself, too.
