Hello, hello! I can’t believe July is here! Things have been moving for us already in terms of ticking off our wedding checklist. All major suppliers have been booked, and we’re now in the process of acquiring our marriage license. Apart from sharing with you guys my favorite photos from our engagement shoot, a lot of other exciting things happened last June like:
Finalizing Our Wedding Invitation Design
A few months ago, I wrote about how I came up with our wedding logo and branding. This helped a lot in really giving direction to how our invitations and wedding collaterals would look like. Apart from working on our wedding logo and branding, my sister was also the one responsible for laying out our wedding invitations.
And with the help of my cousin (and one of my bridesmaids) who illustrated the dress code and map, they came up with the prettiest design. This meant the world to me, as it was a collaboration of people who are important to me and who are part of our wedding entourage—so it feels more intimate and special. In choosing a supplier who would print our wedding invitations, the Cupcake and I went to the Toast Bridal Fair by Bride and Breakfast and the Trendsetter Team. There, I found Cumbidado, whose quality of invites caught my attention. After starting a thread with them on Facebook messenger (they reply so fast, and they’re super helpful with tips and insights!), I decided to book them to print our wedding invites. Recently, they sent over the sample prints and I was so in love with everything!
Fitting my Bridal Gown for the First Time
Another very exciting moment that transpired in June was finally seeing my bridal gown and fitting it for the first time—in front of two important people as well: my closest cousin, Ina, and my best friend, KChan (both part of our entourage, too). To see it being sketched in front of me last February is one thing, but for the sketch to come to life was beyond what I imagined. I remember telling KChan (who’s actually getting married this month!) that I couldn’t imagine how my gown would look like, and she told me that she felt the same way, but that when she saw and fitted her gown for the first time, there was this magical moment that happened—and she knew then and there that she was wearing her dream wedding gown.
Submitting Church Requirements
Last but not least for this update is that the Cupcake and I finally submitted our church requirements! This included our birth certificates, certificates of no marriage, baptismal certificates, confirmation certificates, and the certificate from our Marriage Preparation Seminar with CEFAM. There are still a few more documents to follow—like our marriage license and wedding banns. We’re also waiting to schedule our canonical interview this month!
