Simple Halloween Decoration Ideas: Halloween at the #FraggyHome

Hi, everyone! If you’re new here, my name is Gretchen Gatan. I’m a writer and managing editor based in Metro Manila, Philippines. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I write about topics on beauty, travel, and lifestyle. 2022 marks our second year in our forever home, the #FraggyHome. Last year, I was seven months pregnant during Halloween.

But because I was so excited to welcome our baby girl, Cambria in December, I skipped the Halloween decorations and went straight to Christmas! However, this year is a different story. My husband Cayo and I are so excited to dress up in costume as a family. So of course, I decorated our house, too! If you’re looking for simple halloween decoration ideas, check out what I did.

Simple Halloween Decoration Ideas: Halloween at the Fraggy Home

As much as I wanted to throw a whole production, just like Claire Dunphy in Modern Family, I stuck to simple Halloween decorations. This way, it would still match the aesthetic of our home—which is mostly wood and white.

I put together a skull, a couple of skeleton hands, a skeleton (who I named Jon Bone Jovi), battery-operated candles, and crows on the console table in our living room.

I then stuck paper bats on the switches of our lights on the first floor.

Where to Buy Halloween Decorations

I ordered everything online last September so that I would get the Halloween decorations on time. If you’d like the link to the different items, I’ve listed them below. Take note that some links might be affiliate links to help me maintain my lifestyle blog.

  • Skull Head – P179
  • Crows – P73
  • Skeleton Hands – P95
  • Skeleton (aka Jon Bone Jovi) – P179
  • Battery-Operated Candles – P29
  • Bat Stickers – P65

Everything was actually so cheap! I spent less than a thousand pesos (including the shipping fee). However, since these came from China, the shipping took about a week or two.

I hope my Halloween decorations inspired you—even if they’re so simple! If you liked this article, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube at @gretchengatan to stay updated with all things beauty, home, and lifestyle.
