A lot of people always ask me what I do with my lashes, because of how long they seem. It may not have a natural curl like Betty Boop, but it’s long enough that when you curl them with an eyelash curler, the tips always touch the upper skin of my lids.
Here’s a little secret I ‘d like to share: my mom cut my lashes when I was a baby, because apparently that helps the lashes grow longer and stronger as you age.
Not sure how true this is, but she’s done it with all of her children, and so far we all grew up having thick, long lashes. Even my cousins whose moms cut their lashes when they were younger ended up with nice and long eyelashes! For those of you who didn’t know about this little secret, did you know that it’s possible to still grow them? Last month, I was sent to try Nutraluxe Lash MD, an eyelash conditioner designed to enhance the appearance of your natural lashes, nourish and moisturize them, and protect them from breakage. Reading about the product really intrigued me. At first, I was a little scared to incorporate it in my nightly routine (I feel that way with most products I’ve never heard of), but after just a few days of applying it like an eyeliner on the base of my lids, I noticed the difference right away.
The difference wasn’t really in my eyelashes’ length—it was more on the hair growth. And it was most evident when I curled my lashes and saw that my left eye’s lashes suddenly had the same thickness as my right. Ever since I was little, my left eye had little eyelashes compared to my right. It was always that way, and I never really knew why. That’s why whenever I curl my lashes and apply mascara, I tend to add more coats on my left lashes than my right.
But after just a few days of trying the Nutraluxe Lash MD, I noticed that my eyelashes looked more even. My left eye had just as much lashes as my right, and they appeared even longer than what I was accustomed to—again because of how often I curl my lashes. You can really see the difference. That’s how I knew the product was working on me. It’s been a couple of weeks now since I started using it, and so far, I haven’t had any negative reaction.
I tried taking before and after photos, but I got a little self-conscious with my before photo because I recently had a bad breakout and I didn’t want to post it for all the world to see. But I swear, it really works! I’m still so amazed by it. At least women with short, stubby lashes now have this option. I also read that you can use it on sparse brows, so I’m planning to use it on the light areas of my brows to see if it’ll work there as well. I’ll make sure to take photos of that and share it with you guys.
Nutraluxe Lash MD is currently available at BeautyMNL for Php 2,800.
