Potts Point Cafe in Eastwood Mall: Organic Food At Its Finest

KChan and I had the pleasure of visiting Potts Point Cafe last Saturday for a taste testing event hosted by Ace Azarraga. Owned by dynamic duo chefs, Chessie Guerrero and James Torres, the restaurant features organic dishes that taste so heavenly in the palate.

I must admit, I’m not so familiar with organic food and how they should taste.

I’m not sure if there’s a difference, but one thing I know is that organic food is produced using environmentally and animal-friendly farming methods. This intrigued me all the more with the kind of dishes they were going to make us try.

The set began with an Organic Sausage and Bacon Pizza Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette (Php 275)—a unique fusion of pizza and salad.

As a huge fan of ravioli, I was really excited to try this one: Trio of Organic Mushroom Ravioli with Parmesan Cream Sauce (Php 310). This turned out to be one of my favorites in their menu.

Another favorite is their version of Eggs Benedict (Php 365). What makes theirs stand out is the bread, which is so tender and fresh. We were told that the bread is baked every morning before the restaurant opens to guarantee its freshness. This also includes other all-day breakfast dishes like Strawberry, Kiwi and Ricotta Cheese Crumpets with Organic Honey and Hot Chocolate (Php 220) and the Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast with Whipped Cream and Palm Syrup (Php 195).

One of the finer entrees is the Pan-Seared Salmon with Dill Butter, Beet Root Puree, and Creamy Mashed Potato (Php 495). The salmon is cooked in such a way that it melts in your mouth.

Those who love pork bellies will certainly enjoy this one: Vietnamese-Style Organic Slow Roast Pork Belly with Nuoc Cham and Pineapple Fried Rice (Php 375). The flavor of the rice was just superb and complemented the pork belly really well.

Aside from all the overwhelmingly good entrees, guests should try their desserts! We were served a few such as the Warm Caramel Walnut Pie with Thyme Vanilla Ice Cream (Php 210), Strawberry, Kiwi and Mango Triffle with Light Vanilla Custard and Cookie Crumble (Php 185), and the Oozin’ Ozzie Chocolate Cake a la Mode (Php 245).

By the time we finished everything, our bellies were so full and happy! I told myself I’d have to go back again for the Ravioli and Eggs Benedict. Just thinking about it makes me excited already!
