I still clearly remember the first time I did Plana Forma in Makati with my former colleagues. It was a Forma Strength class, and Angel of www.pinkoolaid.com kept screaming curse words because of the burn we felt with each exercise we did. At the same time, it made me realize how effective the workout was because my muscles were so sore after.
It may have felt like torture in class, but the end results were worth it and I found myself wanting to do the challenge over and over.Back then, because I worked in Legaspi Village and was a stone’s throw away from their branch in Makati, it was very convenient for me to just walk to class after work. But because I’m enjoying the funemployed life, where I stay at home most of the week except when I have yoga, running, makeup gigs, or events to attend, Makati’s a little too far away from me.
Thankfully, Plana Forma now has a branch in Il Terrazzo, Quezon City—a place that’s only 15 minutes away from where I live. They recently had a grand launch, where they invited bloggers to some pica-pica and a trial class of their Forma Core. We were also given a two-month unlimited subscription to their classes, and I’ve been attending either Forma Core or Forma Strength almost everyday.
Aside from doing sports, I find Plana Forma to be the most effective workout I’ve ever done. It’s only been a week and a half and already, my stomach has gotten flatter. I feel much, much stronger, too. I can lift Booboo with just one arm, and the burn doesn’t feel as much as it used to.
Honestly, it still feels like torture in class but every single time I leave the studio, there’s always an accomplished smile on my face while I think to myself, “Yes! I survived! Just a little bit more, and maybe I can feel confident wearing tight shirts again.”
