It’s the last day of February! In terms of wedding planning, there’s not much to update. Since we’ve pretty much booked our major suppliers, it’s more of a waiting game right now because the wedding documents we need to prepare are a bit time sensitive. Most (if not all) need to be secured 4 to 6 months before the wedding day, so we’ll probably start moving again in March or April.
However, I’m so excited to be sharing with you guys our wedding logo and branding! In terms of my process, it was quite easy for me to really pinpoint how I wanted the visuals of our wedding to look like. I wanted to incorporate my favorite color, give everything a sophisticated and timeless feel, and add a natural lightness to it all. Does that make sense? Hahaha! Of course, I consulted with the Cupcake as well, who has been more hands-on with other things, and leaves the wedding aesthetic to me.
I mentioned it on my Instagram, but I’m the luckiest bride-to-be in the world to have an extremely talented sister (who happens to be one of my Maids of Honor) and cousin (who is a Bridesmaid!) to have worked on our wedding collaterals. My sister first started by creating a wedding logo and illustrated the lilac flowers based on my Pinterest board, and the style guide I put together. The mood board below captures most of my pegs:
Thanks to what she crafted, the Cupcake and I were able to create a Facebook Event Page that acts as our digital Save the Date, since some of our guests live abroad and we wanted to give them enough time to arrange a trip to the Philippines.
After working on the Save the Date visual, I then asked my cousin to work on the Wedding Dress Code, since a few guests had started messaging me to ask what the dress code was. To keep with the light and bright feel of our wedding, the Cupcake and I agreed on a color palette for the ladies (Shades of Beige), and Traditional Barong for the gentlemen.
I’m so incredibly in love with everything, that I even made my sister’s artwork my desktop and phone wallpaper! I hope and pray that everything else will flow smoothly, and that September draws near already. More than the wedding itself, what I really look forward to is the married life with the Cupcake. That’s definitely going to be a whole new chapter to experience and write about!
