I’ve mentioned it a few times on the blog, but now that I’m in my late 20’s, I’ve reached a point in my life where I actually enjoy looking at the home and décor section of the department store AND visiting showrooms more than threading through fashion and beauty sections of the mall.
(I know, right? Sounds bizarre coming from a beauty and lifestyle blogger, who gets giddy over the latest makeup and skincare finds!)But to be honest, what makes me giddy more than my favorite makeup and skincare brands going on sale is imagining how my own place would look like someday. I guess it’s really part of the transition, especially because I’ve been in a serious relationship for almost four years now—and one of the things that the Cupcake and I do talk about occasionally is our plans for the future, including where we would be living someday.
I do have an idea of what type of place I’d like to call home, and realistically speaking, if I do invest in a property, the most practical would be a condominium somewhere in the city. I don’t want it too far away from Metro Manila’s schools and business districts, I don’t want it to be a high-rise condominium (because I have a fear of heights), and apart from these two requirements, I’m also very particular about space and storage, security, and amenities.
It seemed so timely that I was recently given a tour of Golfhill Gardens, because the place literally had everything that I was looking for. Not to mention, I was already familiar with the exclusive residential condominium, because I live not too far away from the place.
The community features six low-density clusters with nearly half of the area dedicated to greenery and open spaces. The ground level has a recreational deck anchored by a 16-meter swimming pool and kiddie pool, and the specific cluster we visited had a business center (perfect for small meetings and group works), a day care (for parents looking to keep their toddlers preoccupied while they’re at work), a gym (with top-of-the-line facilities), a function room (to hold events and parties), and a spa (this is so ideal for someone like me who loves to book home-service massages).
Coming from Eastwood, it took us about 20 minutes to get to Golfhill Gardens via Katipunan. The area is gated and very quiet (something that’s also very important to me), it’s near leisure hubs, retail centers, and premier academic institutions like mine and the Cupcake’s alma mater, Ateneo, and they even offer exclusive shuttle services to and from the UP and Katipunan area.
Honestly, when I saw the different spaces of the condominium—from the studio, to the one-bedroom unit, to the two-bedroom, I was already daydreaming about living there and starting a life with the Cupcake. Maybe it remains to be a fantasy for now, but I am dead set on making that a reality one day. I even inquired for the rates of their units, since it’s already ready for occupancy this year!
