Zen Zest at 15: 15 Years of Local and Scent-sational Fragrances

Zen Zest, for me, has always been a top-of-mind brand when it came to local scents—because apart from seeing their stalls in different malls, some of their products are quite the staple at home and in my travels! For example, their Anti-Mosquito Room Fragrance, never leaves my travel kit of essentials as this is something I always spray before settling into my room.

It was a pleasure to have received an invite from Liz Lanuzo and the Project Vanity team, as they put together a one-of-a-kind event to celebrate 15 years of scent-sational fragrances from Zen Zest! I actually almost missed this event because I came from our office outing, where some of you may have already seen or read from my Snapchat (@gretchengatan) or Instagram that I suffered from a slight casualty. The Airbnb house we rented was dirtier than expected because the host was out of the country and wasn’t able to endorse it properly to his caretaker—long story short, I ended up having a really bad allergic reaction to my bed. I actually attended the Zen Zest event with rashes on my tummy and thighs already, but as the days passed, it spread to my chest, back, arms, and legs. Unfortunately, my dermatologist was out of town the entire week, so I had to wait it out. By Thursday, it had gotten so bad that I was even brought to the emergency room to be treated temporarily.

But anyway! All is good now—I’ve seen my dermatologist, who prescribed me with the right medication, and I’m hoping that the rashes will be gone in a few days.

Now back to the Zen Zest event!

The intimate affair was held at Le Petit Souffle in Century City Mall, where guests were treated to a “shopping spree” from the floral-filled perfume bar. We were each given a card that indicated four stations, and we were allowed to choose any variant we wanted from each station!

After choosing our scents, a generous meal was served as Liz and Zen Zest founder, Michelle Asence Fontelera, welcomed us and thanked us for coming. It was also then that I discovered Zen Zest sells 100,000 bottles of fragrances each month! Talk about a very successful brand that all started 15 years ago in a small kiosk in Megamall.

Just to give you guys a quick peek of what I “shopped” from the event:

I am sooo excited to be using all these! There’s no doubt none of these will go to waste, because I personally picked these out because of how much I love the scents. Which ones have you tried, or which ones are you looking to try?
