The Cupcake finally got back from his Hong Kong trip last week, so right after his work on Monday, we decided to catch up and have breakfast for dinner at Milky and Sunny in Kapitolyo.
It was chance that brought us to this happy-looking place, which reminded me so much of Stacy’s. Unlike all the other restaurants in the vicinity, theirs had parking space available and we were lucky that the kind staff still accommodated us even though it was already 9:55pm and they were closing at 10pm.
We made our orders quick, choosing to go for a Bacon and Spam Pasta (Php 230), Chicken Pork Adobo (Php 200), and Tomato, Mozzarella and Pepperoni Omelette (Php 170).
Though the pasta appeared really heavy (it was cream-based topped with a sunny side up after all), I thoroughly indulged in it. It was seasoned just right that you wouldn’t feel full or nauseous right away. I wasn’t able to get a taste of the Chicken Pork Adobo, but I was really impressed with the combination of tomato, mozzarella, and pepperoni in the omelette. I love how it had such a creamy texture.
Their food is so simple and straightforward. There’s nothing great about it, yet I enjoyed. I think it’s because of the great company and excellent staff, which is why I wouldn’t mind going back. I also read that they’ll be opening one near my new office soon, so I can’t wait to have lunches there!
