Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer Review and Tutorial

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know how obsessed I am with my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It’s hands down my holy grail concealer, and not even my Urban Decay Naked SKIN Concealer (I actually swatched them both side by side to show the difference) can give the coverage that I always look for in my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.

So naturally, when you believe in a concealer this much, you would think that nothing can ever be better—or at least be as good as it. That is, until I was introduced to Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer, which I first heard about from US beauty bloggers (I was even so tempted to buy one while I was in the States), before I finally got to try it myself when Maybelline Philippines recently brought it in the country and sent me one.

The beauty of this isn’t just in the coverage, or how perfect the shade (Medium) is for my yellow undertone, or how easy it is to apply and blend, or because it doesn’t cake (as long as you set it properly with a loose, translucent powder). As the name suggests, it hides flaws under my eyes and contains ingredients that fight aging—especially if you use it regularly.

I haven’t used it long enough to notice if it has done wonders on my eye bags, but I can honestly say that I’ve fallen in love with this product so much that I’ve been using it for everyday wear (I save my NARS one for formal events and special occasions). And for Php 399, it doesn’t hurt to use often because once I run out, I can easily buy another without breaking my wallet!

Calyxta has it in three shades: Light, Medium, and Honey. Light is more for those with extra fair skin, Medium is great for those with the same skin tone and undertone as me, while Honey is a little darker and more on the peachy side.

Check out this quick video I did on how I used Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer to conceal and highlight my face:
