Skin Pro Launches in Makati

Last Wednesday, us Glambabes got invited to attend the official launch of Skin Pro, located along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati (right beside Grilla). With all the skin care clinics emerging in almost every corner of Metro Manila, the challenge is usually looking for a clinic that offers quality service, highly-trained staff, premium machines, cleanliness, accessibility, and of course, reasonable prices.

More often than not, it’s almost impossible to find a clinic that has all these qualities and to be honest, when I was given a tour of Skin Pro and saw how modern their facilities looked, I immediately thought to myself that their services were most likely expensive. More so that their machines were supplied by Spectrumed, the leading distributor of high-end, top-quality machines in the country.

My very first experience of the Revlite treatment (prior to my first session with Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic) was with Pinkoolaid in Spectrumed’s office along Dela Costa Street in Makati—they wanted us to witness and experience firsthand why their machines are the best. In fact, they supply to premium skin care clinics like Belo, Javellana, Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic, and Skin Pro.

Skin Pro offers a number of services, including the infamous Revlite treatment. I was given a couple of gift certificates (one for Revlite, one for Firmage) so last Saturday, my mom, cousin and I went to Skin Pro to try out their services. My mom opted to get a Revlite treatment (Php 6,000/session but they’re offering a promo right now—buy 10 sessions for only Php 25,000) while I tried the Firmage (Php 3,000/session). My cousin got curious and tried their Signature Facial for Php 1,500. This included basic cleaning, a diamond peel, and a facial mask. Upon inquiring, they offer Diamond Peel for just Php 500 and a Basic Facial for Php 450. They also have Diode Underarm Laser for Php 2,000 per session.

The Firmage “uses the patented Unipolar Radio Frequency Technology (RF) for the face. This unique system of heating both the superficial and deeper layers of tissue stimulates collagen production, improving circulation and laxity of the skin. It focuses on the smaller area that you want to tighten and contour. Clinically proven to gently lift the skin, to smooth out wrinkles, and renew facial contours. No downtime. See visible results immediately.”

The procedure took only 40 minutes, and I even fell asleep in the middle of my treatment. During the procedure, you’ll feel a little heat as the therapist moves the machine’s applicator around your face and neck. When I woke up, I didn’t see or feel the results but about ten minutes later, I felt my skin suddenly tighten. According to the therapist, I’ll need about six sessions to really see drastic results. It was nice to experience, but since I’m only in my 20’s, my priority for now is keeping my skin clear and healthy. Firmage would probably be something I’ll regularly get when I reach my 40’s. Or it can be something I can get once every few months for preventive measures.

My mom really enjoyed her Revlite treatment, and I can attest that the sun spots and blemishes she developed throughout the years suddenly faded a bit. It’s still visible, but imagine what Revlite could do in just a few sessions! I’m sure her blemishes will disappear completely—just like how the blemishes of my face faded and the chicken skin of my underarms disappeared about 80% after only two sessions with Skin House.

My cousin told us she wants to come back, because she enjoyed and felt so relaxed during her Signature Facial. That’s something I’m interested to try as well.

What I like about the clinic, besides the facilities, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, is that they’re open everyday until 9pm—so it’s perfect for people like me who get off work at 6pm! I have more than enough time to get to the clinic before it closes. They’re even open on Sundays, for those who have tight schedules and would want to squeeze in a facial treatment.

With the reasonable prices that Skin Pro offers, not to mention the premium machines they carry, it’s definitely a skin care clinic you can trust.
