Pinto Art Museum: A Photoblog

The Cupcake and I visited Pinto Art Museum a few weeks ago, and despite enduring an hour of traffic from Quezon City to Antipolo, seeing and experiencing Pinto removed every bit of animosity I was feeling.

Just a few things to note before looking through this photoblog entry—Pinto Art Museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays (9am to 6pm) and charges Php 150 for adults, Php 120 for senior citizens and PWD, and Php 75 for students. (Don’t forget to bring an ID if you’re a student or senior citizen.)

You can also rent the place (or some parts of it) for photo shoots. Given the beautiful surroundings and the Greek-inspired architecture, it’s a breathtaking place for a prenup.

Should you get hungry, don’t worry! The Cupcake and I went there at around lunch time (both semi-grumpy from having skipped breakfast), but we discovered they had a cafe inside, that’s run by Bizu Patisserie. The Pinto Cafe won’t just delight your eyes with the extraordinary plating—it will delight your taste buds, too! For only Php 595, we were able to get a three-course meal: Soup of the Day, Pasta, and Dessert. We ordered an extra dish: Angus Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes, and extra dessert: JJ’s Halu-halo.

It was such a good lunch, especially after navigating the place for two hours.

My only regret was that we didn’t do the guided tour. Although I loved admiring each piece of art and giving it my own interpretation, I would have loved to hear its history and notes from the artist. Perhaps I can visit another time. Here below is the schedule:

  • 9am to 11am
  • 12nn to 2pm
  • 2pm to 4pm
  • 4:30pm to 6pm

Without further ado, check out some photos from our visit. These were taken by none other than the Cupcake himself.

Don’t the paintings, sculptures, and other artwork make you want to go there this instant? You’ll definitely get lost in the art and your surroundings. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and step away from what you’re used to in the city.
