I’m still on a high from the #JunkyardTurns2 makeup workshop! I can’t thank my readers enough for taking the time out of their Sundays to celebrate the blog’s 2nd anniversary with me, where I got to share a few of my tips and tricks. I honestly want to borrow Hermione Granger’s time turner, just to rewind to that afternoon and be able to spend time with my readers again.
The workshop was held at Purebeauty Serendra’s makeup studio, which was the perfect venue to hold such an intimate gathering. It was big enough to fit 10 of my readers, plus my mom, brother, sister, three cousins, and the Cupcake who came and supported/acted as my photographers, videographers, and model.
I made sure the workshop was short, sweet, and simple. I tackled basic skincare, because like I always say, good makeup starts with good skin. And between skincare and cosmetics, I choose to invest in skincare more. I also discussed makeup essentials, and that I only like enhancing three features on a regular basis: brows, lashes, and lips. Lastly, with my cousin, Ina, as my model, I showed them how to create a daytime look and how to quickly convert it into an evening look.
After the brief lecture, it was time for my readers to apply what they learned! And this was the part I enjoyed most, because we were able to bond even more.
I’m so thankful that I was able to have this opportunity, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of my sponsors: Purebeauty for providing the venue, and Suesh, BYS Cosmetics, and Eye of Horus for providing makeup brushes and products that my readers could take home. I also want to take this time to thank my family and the Cupcake for being unconditionally supportive. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people surrounding me.
Here’s to many more years of writing about beauty and lifestyle, and I hope to see my readers again at the next Greta’s Junkyard gathering!
To Rhen, Monique, Ramonne Paula, Marijoy, Jennifer, Ann, Mhaica, Hilary, Lyzette, and Rhania—it was so nice spending the afternoon with you, and I hope you all enjoyed and learned a lot! Thank you again for coming! Until our next bonding session! Here’s a quick video I put together:
