It’s been an ongoing project of mine for a while now to improve the area in our house where I always do my makeup (which is my mom’s spacious bathroom). Though the mirrors are huge and the lighting is pretty decent, I’ve still been in search of where to buy custom vanity mirrors in Manila, because I wanted one that was portable enough to bring around in case I had a client who booked me for home-service makeup.
It was actually at the Manila Sundance Bazaar where I first discovered Vanity Mirror Philippines, a special online store on Instagram that sells ready-made and custom-made vanity mirrors in various sizes, starting with their smallest at 14 x 18 inches (Php 1,500), which can fit six light bulbs.
They recently sent a 17 x 21-inch custom vanity mirror in a matte, dark violet color to my home, which finally completes my makeup station! It came with a free canvas bag (though if you want a waterproof padded gig bag, you can also buy from them for Php 150), which makes it easier to bring around.
It’s been so exciting doing my makeup lately (not that it was never exciting!), because the mirror is just so perfect and gives me all the lighting I need. For the light bulbs, since you’ll have to buy these separately, I got mine from ACE Hardware. These were 7 megawatts, with four daylight bulbs and two warm ones (to balance it out). I placed the daylight bulbs on the top and bottom, and the warm ones in the middle.
