Almost every year, I’ve made it a point to throw Booboo a birthday party. I know some people find it funny or silly, but to me, it’s really all about celebrating someone who has made me genuinely happy, and who has brought out a selflessness in me that I didn’t think I was capable of.
His birthday parties have always had a theme every time, but I only really got to document them starting from his 6th birthday.
His 7th birthday, which was Star Wars-themed, became a mini family reunion—one of his sons, Ringo (right-most), who is now owned by my best friend’s sister, attended his party! On Booboo’s left is his wifey, Sushi, and on his right is his daughter and Ringo’s sister, Fatty.
This year was still a star-filled theme, but instead of Star Wars, it was more of “Booboo as the Star That Lights Up My Life.” Hahahaha! As usual, I decorated our house, treated the adults to Amber and the dogs to liver cake and doggie lasagna, and dressed up Booboo to match the theme. My family and his doggo family gifted him with lots of treats that he has been enjoying in our studio unit in Makati!
Next year, Booboo is turning ten years old and I really want to throw him a grand “de-boo.” Hahahaha! I’m already excited to think of a theme and activities for his birthday party then. What theme should his 10th birthday party be?
