Best Nipple Cream for Breastfeeding: Brands I’ve Tried

It’s been almost two months since I gave birth and started breastfeeding on demand. As a first-time mom, I’m so thankful for those who have given me tips on how to survive the fourth trimester. And one of those tips included applying nipple cream after every feeding! If you’re searching for the best nipple cream for breastfeeding, here are three brands I’ve tried.

3 Nipple Cream Brands I’ve Tried

1. Orange and Peach Natural Nipple Balm – P450

The very first one is Orange and Peach’s Natural Nipple Balm. I bought it while I was still pregnant because a couple of friends highly recommended it. What I love about this nipple balm compared to others is that it’s made of virgin coconut oil and other natural ingredients. So it’s safe for my baby even if I don’t get to wipe it all off before she feeds.

Plus, as a fan of anything coconut, I love how it smells! Moreover, it comes with a spatula so no need to worry about dipping your finger inside the jar.

2. Buds and Blooms Nipple Nurse – P250

Another nipple cream I like and that I’m currently using is the Buds and Bloom Nipple Nurse. I actually have two of these at home—one on my side table in our bedroom and one in the nursery room. It comes in a small tube so it’s easy to just bring around. It’s made with a blend of natural native berries harvested from Australia. Additionally, it contains certified organic virgin coconut oil and rich beeswax.

Like Orange and Peach’s Natural Nipple Balm, this one smells like coconut as well. You just need to shake it prior to squeezing out the product. Most of the time, only the oil comes out on the first squeeze. You need to squeeze some more before the actual cream comes out. It’s the most affordable of the three brands, too!

3. Biolane Nursing Balm – P720

Last but not least is Biolane’s Nursing Balm. According to the product description, it’s composed solely of lanolin—with moisturizing, protective, and reparative properties. It prepares and soothes the nipples before and during nursing. It’s also suitable for the entire family if you want to treat extra dry spots!

I normally use this twice a day—after taking a bath in the morning and before going to sleep. I do love how it soothes right away. I’m just not a fan of the super sticky texture. However, it does the job well so I’m willing to let the sticky texture slide. I just wipe it off my finger with tissue and wash my hands.

Best Nipple Cream for Breastfeeding

So far, those are the three nipple cream brands I’ve tried. One brand I also want to try is Lansinoh’s Nipple Cream (P610) since I heard so many good reviews about it. If you have any questions about the products, feel free to comment below or send me a message on Instagram @gretchengatan!
